Fruits De Mer Records’ Sound Clouds Double Disc Compilation Is Released
Vision Eternel is proud to announce that the band’s third collaboration with England’s Fruits De Mer Records is officially out today. Following 2019’s Fruits De Mer Conducts: Deep Sea Exploration, and 2020’s Fruits De Mer Records Unearths: Sounds From The Underground, the British record label has just released the double-disc Various Artists compilation Sound Clouds (which includes Sound Clouds I and Sound Clouds II) through its subsidiary Friends Of The Fish. Vision Eternel has been extremely fortunate to work with Fruits De Mer Records on so many occasions and a well-deserved, heartfelt thank you goes out to the record label’s owner and founder, Keith Jones, for making this collaboration possible!
The Various Artists compilation features twenty-five international space rock, psychedelic rock and psychedelic folk artists, including Alex Silva, Astral Magic, Astralasia, Computerchemist, Desert 9, Duir!, El Universo, Fulmen, Home Brewed Universe, Jay Tausig, Jean D’Auberlaque, Jonathan Segel, Kali Bell, Kazarus, Nathan Hall And The Sinister Locals, Neu!_and, Parricus Memorialis, Reunion Island, The Blue Giant Zeta Puppies, The Lost Stoned Pandas, Thought Bubble, Transmecanic Black Dawns, Wyndham Earl, Yaatra and, of course, Vision Eternel.
Sound Clouds was originally intended as a promotional outlet to help spread the news of Vision Eternel’s planned Deluxe Edition re-issue of Echoes From Forgotten Hearts. Initially scheduled for release in early 2022, the re-issue met with innumerable setbacks along the way and it is now sadly considered permanently shelved and abandoned. As part of the Deluxe Edition’s presentation, Echoes From Forgotten Hearts was newly mastered by Carl Saff at Saff Mastering in Chicago, Illinois (the original release was not mastered, therefore the term “re-mastered” could not be used in this case). The new mastered version of the song Pièce No. Sept therefore appears exclusively on Sound Clouds. Vision Eternel hopes that the Deluxe Edition of Echoes From Forgotten Hearts will eventually see light of day.
Sound Clouds is limited to 300 copies on double-compact disc and is solely available to Fruits De Mer Records Club members who have already pre-ordered the record company’s three releases coming out today (though some copies may be available from second-hand retailers):
